ASA Uphold Complaint against Timeshare Refund UK www.selltimesharetoday.co.uk
The UK Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) has upheld a complaint submitted by KwikChex regarding Timeshare Refund UK www.selltimesharetoday.co.uk.
The investigation by KwikChex was carried out as part of activities by the Timeshare Task Force https://timesharetaskforce.org/ which KwikChex manages.
The complaint challenged that references made on the www.selltimesharetoday.co.uk website stating “Timeshare Refund UK is a 100% free service. We will assist you in getting rid of your timeshare and relieve you of all maintenance and membership fees. We have helped countless timeshare owners and reclaimed over £3.5m last year”.
The ASA was concerned by Timeshare Refund UK’s lack of response and apparent disregard for the Code. In the absence of documentary evidence, it was considered that Timeshare Refund UK had not substantiated their claim that they had reclaimed over £3.5m. The ASA concluded that the ad was misleading and in breach of the Code.
