Timeshare consumer case resolved – example

TTF250x100

Whilst on holiday, Mrs G purchased a software product called Realistix Solutions which claimed to be able to provide extensive savings on holidays unavailable elsewhere for £4,907. When she returned home she found the product did not work and the company that sold it would not return any of her calls or e-mails. Mrs G submitted a credit card claim, however, this was declined by the card company. Mrs G then contacted Timeshare Task Force. We established that the product was in effect worthless and that together with the method of sale and wording of contract constituted breaches of EU consumer laws. We pursued a claim on this basis on her behalf with the company who agreed to issue a full refund. Following further intervention and advice by the Timeshare Task Force in relation to her credit card reclaim, Mrs G also received £50 compensation from her credit card company for the stress and inconvenience caused as a result of the declined application.

Note – there are no fees whatsoever charged to consumers seeking help regarding timeshare and related products by Timeshare Task Force (managed by KwikChex). This is a free service.
